Peer review policy

The journal operates double-blind review: the reviewer does not know who wrote the manuscript, and the author does not know who reviewed it. Every manuscript is stripped of identifying material before it is sent out.

A manuscript's path

  1. 01SubmissionThe author uploads the file and the complete submission data.
  2. 02Initial screeningThe editors check scope, formatting and originality before any referral.
  3. 03Reviewer assignmentThe anonymised manuscript goes to at least two reviewers.
  4. 04ReviewEach reviewer files a detailed report and a clear recommendation.
  5. 05RevisionThe author receives the reports, anonymised, and responds to them.
  6. 06AcceptanceThe editor-in-chief decides in light of the reports and the response.
  7. 07PublicationThe article is published with a DOI and its full dates inside an issue.
